2027 Producer Grants
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2027 FUNDING CYCLE!
Through the Grow Lane County coalition and in partnership with Lane Community Health Council and Food Lane County, Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District is pleased to offer grants to support on-farm conservation practices and improvements while building a stronger network of local food resources for Lane County. This grant opportunity is available to producers located in Lane County who grow or raise food primarily for local markets. Priority will be given to historically underserved producers, including beginning, socially disadvantaged, or veteran farmers or ranchers.
The goals of this funding opportunity are to:
Promote practices that increase soil health and water quality on farms and ranches;
Help producers improve the efficiency and productivity of their operations; and
Increase the diversity and volume of locally grown and harvested food products in Lane County and make those products available to residents experiencing food insecurity or hunger.
Applicants may request between $2,500 and $10,000 in the 2027 funding cycle. There is a 25% match requirement, either cash or in-kind, which must focus on providing local food to Lane County residents or organizational partners who feed residents experiencing food insecurity or hunger.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility to participate in the funding process as an applicant is as follows:
Must be located in Lane County
Must grow or raise food products primarily for Lane County markets
Must operate your farm or ranch business as a primary or significant source of household income
Must be currently participating in anti-hunger / food security programs or have a specific plan to do so during the grant period

2027 Grant Timeline
By October 1st, 2026 – Application form posted online at www.growlanecounty.org and on the UWSWCD website
December 11th 2026, 12-1 PM (virtual and in person options) – Information session for applicants: RSVP HERE
January 7th, 2027 – Applications due through the UWSWCD online portal
Mid-February 2027 – Funding evaluations and decisions completed
March 2027 – Funding distributed upon completion of funding agreement
December 31st, 2027 – Final reports due documenting project expenses and achievements
