Goals of Funding Opportunity

The goals of this grant opportunity are to:

  • Provide a greater volume and diversity of culturally preferred foods as identified by clients,

  • Sourced first from Lane County producers and processors,

  • Then, if needed, from Oregon-based producers and processors,

  • Improve infrastructure to store, process, aggregate, and distribute whole foods, and

  • Support staff and volunteers who help make this food available to clients.

Criteria & Eligibility

This funding is reserved for Partner Agencies of FFLC and other invited organizations whose proposed projects meet at least one of the priorities listed below.  Additional criteria include:

  •  Partner Agencies must be in good standing with FFLC.

  • Non-FFLC partners must demonstrate at least three years of successful fiscal management and community programming.

  • Projects must serve a minimum of 30 unduplicated individuals each month.

  • A 10% match (cash or in-kind, including volunteer time) is required.

  • Whole and minimally processed foods must be purchased from Lane County producers and processors first and secondarily, from Oregon producers.

  • If your agency currently receives food through FFLC, these purchases must be coordinated with FFLC’s food resourcing team to prevent overlapping products.
